More importantly however, John’s input has been absolutely central to the development of Matthew’s wider knowledge of jazz playing techniques and his overall musicality. Matthew wishes to pursue music as a career and John has equipped and inspired him towards this goal."

"I had John as a teacher over the summer before heading off to Leeds College of Music and I couldn't have picked anyone better. John inspired my love of Jazz guitar playing, and through his great style of teaching and guidance I was able to go on to study at one of the UK's top music conservatoire. What I learnt from John helped me get a strong foot in the door. The jazz influence gave me a unique edge on the popular music course I was studying and landed positions playing guitar  in several bands, 2 of which have just signed record deals and have been featured on Radio 1.
